Irvin Leroy Smith, Jr., 68, York Springs, PA, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at his home.
He was born November 6, 1957, in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Irvin Leroy and Frances (Burdick) Smith, Sr.
Irvin was employed early in his career at Appleton Paper Company in Camp Hill and later, from 2001 until his retirement in 2026, for Waggoner Construction Company in East Berlin, PA. Irvin enjoyed collecting and showing Corvettes. He was an avid hunter and liked to watch NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by a son, Irvin L. “Bubba” Smith III of York Springs, a daughter, Jade Ogundere of New Cumberland, PA, a granddaughter, Bella Ogundere, brother and sisters; Judy Baker, Linda Wilson, Susan Gardner, Mike Smith and Sandra Grimes. He was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Ottomeier.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Suburban Memorial Gardens, 3875 Bull Road, Dover, PA.
