
Born January 10, 1938 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the loving wife of Carl L. Keller, Sr., who passed away on February 4 of this year.
Janice graduated from Gettysburg High School and was a dedicated member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA. She spent most of her life raising her 10 children on the family farm. She also went to cosmetology school and had her own beauty shop in Gettysburg for a number of years. She was an excellent cook who always had meals prepared for her family. Janice always enjoyed shopping trips with her children and always used that opportunity to stop at her favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. After the children were raised she worked in the laundry department of the Howard Johnson and Quality Inn. She was truly an inspiration to her family with her hard work and dedication.
In addition to her husband, Carl, Janice is predeceased by her mother, Edna (Beam) Weimer; her step-father, Francis âWibâ Weimer; and her grandsons, Robert and William Baker.
She is survived by her 10 children, Carl Keller (Cindy), Christina Baker (Robert, Sr.), Michael Keller (Cathy), Louise Bivens, Phillip Keller (Dawn), Gary Keller (Tammy), Jeffrey Keller (Dixie), Brenda McDannell (Calvin), Daniel Keller (Robin), and Douglas Keller; 25 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 11am at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 10am where the family will receive friends. Interment will immediately follow the mass at St. Maryâs Cemetery in Fairfield. There will also be a viewing held on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 6-8pm at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA.
