
Born October 9, 1962 in Carlisle, PA he was the son of Albert and Evelyn (Davis) Thompson as well as Juan D. Romero. He was the loving husband of Stacey A. (Townsend) Thompson of Gettysburg to whom he was married for 25 years.
Jeffrey was a graduate of Carlisle High School where he was a proud member of the Thundering Herd football team. He was a devoted employee at the Gettysburg Wal-Mart where he worked as the receiving manager for 34 years. He was a member of the Gettysburg American Legion Post 202, the Carlisle American Legion Post 862, and the Gettysburg VFW. He was a huge Las Vegas Raiders fan, and also enjoyed fishing, and vacationing in Ocean City, MD. His biggest joy came from spending time around his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Jeffrey is survived by his five children, Selena Thompson, of Carlisle, Kamera Townsend-Cleckner and her husband Allen, of Gettysburg, Jeffrey S. Thompson, Jr., of Buffalo, NY, Bradley A. Thompson and his wife Jessica, of Gettysburg, Leah Thompson, of Gettysburg, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and five siblings, Juan âToneâ Romero, Artie Thompson, Pamela Brumbach,Wylynne Romero, and Denine Townsend. He was preceded in death by his brother Caesario Romero, Alfonso Romero and his sister, Stella âPatsyâDavis.
Funeral services for Jeffrey will be 1:00 PM, Friday, June 14, 2024 at Gettysburg Foursquare Church, 328 West Middle St., Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service, Friday at the church. The Monahan Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
