Jennifer S. Keckler, 70 of New Oxford, PA, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Born in Gettysburg, PA, on September 12, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Merle & Edna (Patterson) Tressler. Jennifer is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry P. Keckler, daughter, Michelle R. Potts and her husband, Tim of Brunswick, MD, son, Jeremy D. Keckler and his wife, Michaelann of Hanover, PA, grandchildren, Spencer Potts and Paisley Keckler, sisters, Linda Alexander of Biglerville, PA, Patricia Williams of Cashtown, PA, Judy Carey of Gettysburg, Yvonne Yantis of New Oxford and Melanie Tressler of Gettysburg and her brother, Sam Tressler of Thurmont, MD. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Wirth.
Jennifer had been employed for thirty years with the Gettysburg Wal-Mart, where she would always put the needs of others before herself, and created the reborn doll baby on display in the store for the Children’s Miracle Network.
She loved to cook and bake for family and friends and greeted everyone with “Lovin’ from the Oven”. Jennifer enjoyed her many trips with Jerry to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas, collecting antiques, stopping at yard sales, gardening, and tending to her fish pond.
Funeral Services for Jennifer will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at the Gettysburg United Methodist Church, 30 West High Street, Gettysburg, with Rev. Rick Smith, officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. A Viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
