John Henry Riddlesberger, 73, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in his home. He was born March 16, 1953, in Carlisle to the late Dr. Merchline M. and May K. (Kitzmiller) Riddlesberger.
John was a proud graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1971, and Millersville University, class of 1975. He retired from Carlisle High School after more than 30 years of service as a math teacher, during which he cared for and inspired his students both in and out of the classroom. John was an avid traveler who enjoyed cross-country trips and summers at Rehoboth Beach. He was a passionate clock collector, owning over 500 timepieces. Most importantly, John was devoted to God and his church community at the Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill, and he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Merchline Mills and May Kitzmiller Riddlesberger, and brothers Samuel Merchline Riddlesberger, James Mills Riddlesberger, and Dr. Merchline Mills Riddlesberger, Jr. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Joan Riddlesberger, Roberta Fornwalt (Charles), Phyllis Riddlesberger; cousin and good friend Daniel McKee Flohr (Bonnie); nieces and nephews Michael Scot Riddlesberger, Milly Wilhelm (Mike), Mary Riddlesberger, Cathy Riddlesberger, Scot Riddlesberger (Beth), Lisa Walck (David), Susan Clark and Jay Riddlesberger, 8 grand nieces and nephews and 7 great-grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Christian Life Assembly Church, 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services, and a luncheon will follow services. Burial will take place in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
