John Marshall Frealing, Sr., 67 of York, PA, formerly of Gettysburg, PA, died Sunday, May 4, 2025, at York Hospital. Born February 27, 1958, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Charles Marshall Frealing & Beatrice( Lee) Stanton Frealing. John was a 1976 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School, where he was a member of the championship football and basketball teams. He attended Shippensburg University and later began his 40-year career as an over-the-road truck driver. John was an avid football fan and enjoyed his time at the racetrack. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Frealing, daughter, Janelle M. Frealing of York, two sons, John M. Frealing, Jr. of York and Jamar Dickson of Philadelphia, PA, four sisters, Beverly A. Stanton and Rita C. Frealing both of Gettysburg, Maria F. Hobbs of Atlanta, GA, and Marsha J. Frealing of Boca Raton, FL. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. Francis Cemetery, High St., Gettysburg, PA, with Fr. Stephen Kelley, officiating.
