A master craftsman, John was a custom home builder for many years in Maryland and Pennsylvania before founding Loubier Masonry, where he worked until he fell ill.

In high school, John was an exceptional athlete who lettered in football and wrestling at Bowie High School.

Following his graduation in 1967, John enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably as a Second Class Petty Officer (E5) for the Mobile Construction Battalion 40 until his discharge. Proud to be part of the “Fighting Seabees,” John was rarely seen without a cap, jacket, or sweatshirt that bore its famous insignia.

His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his grandchildren, to whom he was exceptionally devoted. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Online obituary and condolences available at monahanfuneralhome.com.
