Joseph “Joe” Ellsworth Loveless, Jr., 75, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2026, at the WellSpan York Hospital.
Born September 7, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Ethel J. (Zimmerman) Loveless, Sr.
Mr. Loveless was an Army Veteran where he worked as a Senior Aviation Supervisor and retired as First Sergeant after serving for 24 years. After retiring from the military, he continued on with his passion and worked as a Helicopter Maintenance Technician up until the day the Lord called him Home. Joe was a loving husband and a devoted father. He is survived by his wife, Olga (Fraire) Loveless, of Gettysburg, whom he was married to for over 43 years, his son, Joseph “Joey” E. Loveless, III, of West Virginia, his son Joshua “Josh” B. Loveless, of Carroll Valley, and his daughter Jennifer Jo “Jenny Jo” Loveless, of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday morning at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Arlington National Cemetery at a time and date to be determined.
