Joseph Thomas “Tom” Parrish, 71, Gettysburg, PA, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Gettysburg Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1954, in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Maurice and Janet Sentz Parrish. Tom is survived by his wife, Patty March Parrish.
Tom attended Francis Scott High School in Taneytown, MD. He was a veteran of the US Navy, where he served for four years. He worked several jobs in the Taneytown area before he became employed at EVAPCO in Taneytown, where he worked for 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed watching football and baseball. Tom was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles, the Gettysburg American Legion, and Fairfield AmVets.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Parrish is survived by a son, James Maurice Parrish and his companion Marana Butts of West Virginia, two granddaughters; Isabell Parish, Madalyn Parrish, five brothers and sisters; Mike Parrish of Taneytown, MD, Vicki Parrish and her companion Ted Rill of Taneytown, MD, Kim Pouff of Westminster, MD, James Parrish and his wife Susan of Granite Falls, NC, and Eddie Parrish of Hanover, PA. Tom was predeceased by a son, Jesse Parrish.
There will be a viewing on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Monahan Funeral Home. Following cremation, a Celebration will take place at a later date.
