Kathy Foster, 72, of Newville, was called to her eternal resting place on August 29, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1953, in Gettysburg. Kathy was the daughter of the late Richard and Maryjane Swisher.
Kathy had a career as an activities assistant for nursing homes. She was a proud member at Emmanuel Chapel of Smithsburg. Kathy had a love for animals; she loved cardinals, chickens, and horses. She loved the outdoors, where she would go on four-wheeler rides with her family. Kathy enjoyed painting, baking, bird-watching on her porch, and getting pampered on her spa days. Most of all, Kathy enjoyed spending time with her loving family and her three pups.
She is survived by her companion, George Gutshall; one daughter, Jessica Grimes; one son, James Grimes; one granddaughter, Janelle Riley; one sister, Linda Morrow; and her uncle, Ray Swisher.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd. Currently, services are at the discretion of the family.
