He was born November 9, 1948 in Gettysburg, PA the son of the late Jacob and Louise Wingert Kump. His wife of 55 years, Margaret A. âMargieâ Miller Kump died in 2016.
Mr. Kump graduated from Gettysburg High School. He was employed at BAE Systems in York, PA for 46 years until his retirement in 2016. He was also a part time farmer in the Seven Stars area for most of his life along with his brother and father. He was a lifelong member of the Adams County Fish and Game Association.
Ken is survived by three children; Pamela Bowers and her husband David of Gettysburg, PA, Marianne Mitchell and fiancé Chad Chronister of Fayetteville, PA, Kenneth J. Kump and his girlfriend Jodi Coleman of Gettysburg, PA, two grandchildren; Daniel Bowers and Abigail Mitchell, seven brothers and sisters; Paul Kump, Clair Kump, Kathy Allamong, Janet Daugherty, Susan Limanni, Doris Smith and Judy Reed. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Kump.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
