Kore D. Byler, age 84, of Elliottsburg, passed away July 10, 2026, at home. He was born November 5, 1941, in Belleville to the late John Z. and Amelia (Yoder) Byler. Kore worked many years doing construction and, in his later years, was a cemetery caretaker.

He is survived by his children: Luke Byler, Elisha Byler and wife, Yolanda, John Byler and wife, Beth, and Salome Beachey and husband, Elam; 26 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ezra Byler and wife, Mary Catherine; and sisters: Sarah Beachy and husband, Daniel, and Phoebe Beachy and husband, Melvin. Kore was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Myers); brothers: Jake Byler, Jonas Byler, John Byler, and Andy Byler; and sisters: Fannie Hostetler and Mattie Martin.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Shippensburg Christian Fellowship, 10600 Blind Lane, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the church. The funeral will be conducted by Harvey Reiff. Kore will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
