Born January 16, 1959 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Fern R. & Dorothy A. (Sanders) Ohler.
He was a long time member of the Greenmount Fire Department, a member of the Gettysburg Eagles 1562, and the American Legion 121 in Emmitsburg, MD. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friends and family. Lance loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his dog Benji.
Lance is survived by his two children, Daniel A. Ohler and his wife April, Kevin R. Ohler; his two precious grandchildren, McKayla M. and Daniel A. Ohler, Jr.; four siblings, Victoria A. Ohler of Gettysburg, Nina M. Walter and her husband Michael of Gettysburg, Richard L. Ohler of Gettysburg, Brian J. Ohler of Hughesville, MD, and his friend Janet Birch of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Olswfski; his brother, Terry Ohler; and his step-mother, Jane Appler-Ohler.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11AM â 2PM at the Greenmount Fire Hall, 3095 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Greenmount Fire Company, 3095 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325; or the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325 to help defray funeral expenses.
