Larry E. Baumgardner, 78 of Cashtown, PA, passed away at the York Hospital on Friday, January 16, 2026.
Born September 21, 1947, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Earl & Margie (Hankey) Baumgardner. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Gettysburg High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He had been employed as a Sergeant of the Security Guards with the Schaad Detective Agency for many years. Larry was a virtual member of the Greater Love Outreach Ministries in Brooksville, FL, an avid hunter, and enjoyed the time he spent with his daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tawanna L. Baumgardner and Telina E. Dowdell, both of Brooksville, FL, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Karen Weishaar of Bonneauville, PA.
Larry was predeceased by a daughter, Chrishawna R. Baumgardner, and a brother, Richard Baumgardner.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will follow in McKnightstown Cemetery. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home two hours prior to the services on Monday, January 26th.
