
Larry graduated from Biglerville High School in 1970. He served in the US Army from 1970 to 1973 stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army he attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Philadelphia. He worked as an auto mechanic at Trostleâs Gas Station, diesel mechanic at C E Williams, Machine Operator at SKF, and currently at Sheppard/Bendix in Hanover, PA as a machine operator for 40 years.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Agnella âNellieâ (Gouker) Redding; two daughters, Jessica Redding and Anya Redding and her partner Brandon Ott; his grandson, Anthony Redding; his granddaughter, Kiaya Forsythe; five sisters, Joann Kuhn, Betty Edwards, Kathy Lightner & husband Terry, Christine High and husband Troy; four Brothers, Fred Redding and wife Debbie, Donnie Redding and wife Kay; Wayne Redding and wife Pat, and Daniel Redding and wife Darlene.
In addition to his parents Larry is predeceased by his Brother Steven and Brother-in-Law Charles Kuhn.
Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, Gunsmoke, watching his grandson play football, watching his granddaughter cheer, family picnics and parties; helping people, and working at R H Sheppard. Larry loved John Deere tractors and collected a variety of them, which he considered his toys.
There will be a mass of Christian burial held on Monday, February 19, 2024, 11am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will take place immediately following the mass. There will also be a viewing held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 3-5pm at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions made to the American Heart Association (heart.org) or Wound Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
