Marilyn J. Fowler, 80, of Hanover, PA, died peacefully Friday afternoon, June 27, 2025, at the UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born November 19, 1944, in Hays, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Sylvanus and Mary (Dreiling) Basgall. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Fowler, who died June 13, 2014.

Marilyn worked various retail jobs, including as a customer service representative at Walmart, but more recently she enjoyed her job with her husband as co-founders of the Badge Factory, where they traveled the country at tractor shows and flea markets for 20 years. She loved to cross-stitch, but recently switched to diamond art pictures, giving pictures to people she cared about. She enjoyed gardening at her home, taking great pride in how nice it was, going bowling, and playing bingo.
Marilyn is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Martin and her husband Steve, of Bonneauville, PA Sonja Schmidt and her husband Gregory, of Glenville, PA, five grandchildren, Nichole Taylor and her husband Justin, of Littlestown, Gregory Schmidt and his wife Samantha, of Littlestown, Elizabeth Schmidt and her fiancé Mark Brink, of Manchester, PA, Aimee Tasker and her husband Toby, of Hanover, Samantha Lednum, of Hanover and eight great grandchildren, Oakley, Willow, Caylee, Ava, Maverick. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Basgall, and her sister, Darlene Reid.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her granddaughter, Nichole’s home, 3475 Baltimore Pike, Littlestown, PA. She will be buried with her husband at a private service at Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Randallstown, MD.
