Mark A. Kuntz, 70, passed away peacefully at Gettysburg Hospital on January 14, 2026. He was born January 26, 1955, the son of Marshall E. Kuntz and Mary L. (Hollabaugh) Kuntz.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Marshall, who passed away in 2007, and his mother, Mary, who passed away in 2025.
Mark graduated from Biglerville High School in 1972 and Penn State-Mont Alto in 1974. He loved being outdoors and had a passionate lifelong career as a Land Surveyor, first working under others before becoming self-employed. He also loved hunting on his home property and in northern PA . He did numerous cross-country motorcycle trips covering 48 states with his buddies. Snowmobiling and four-wheeling were other pastimes. He loved his family immensely, spending time with them almost daily.
He is survived by two daughters, Mattie (Ben) Wetzel of Gettysburg and Celine (Lee) Wilkinson of Biglerville. He also had 5 grandchildren who called him ‘PawPaw’, Bode and Maci Wilkinson; Leah, Annie, and Kate Wetzel, whom he loved spending time with. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Dwight Kuntz of Gardners, nephew Drew Kuntz & family of York, and niece Emily Sanders & family of Elizabethtown.
Professional services have been entrusted to Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg. Interment will be private at the discretion of the family.
