She was born January 20, 1931 in Dillsburg, PA the daughter of the late Harry E. and Mary G. Lewis Kellison. Mary is survived by her husband of 73 years, Earl A. Sanderson.
Mary most enjoyed spending time with her family, watching birds and nature, especially from their Honey Grove, PA home. She was a fantastic cook and had a gift of hospitality. Their home was always open to many people. She was also a talented seamstress who loved making quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Mary was a devoted woman of Christian faith and formally a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Gettysburg, PA. Early in her life she worked at the Gettysburg Shoe Factory, and later became the head cook for the former Michael Manor Nursing Home for many years.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by a son, Stephen Sanderson and his wife Cindy of York Springs, PA, a son, Dwight âSkipâ Sanderson and his wife Wen Jing of York, PA, a daughter, Diane McOmber and her husband Mark of Gettysburg, PA, a son, Nelson Sanderson and his wife Pamela of Wayne, IL, and a son, Zane Sanderson and his wife Linda of Gettysburg, PA, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by a daughter, Norene Good. She was the last of her 13 brothers and sisters.
