Mary R. Forsythe, 94, of Silver Run, MD, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at UPMC Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Forsythe, Sr. with whom she shared 60 years of marriage until his passing on January 27, 2011.
Born Mexico, MD, Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Denton G. and Marie H. (Harn) Haines.
She is survived by her children, Robert E. Forsythe, Jr., Westminster, MD, Joy Moler and husband Mike, Hedgesville, WV, Barbara Nicodemus and husband Dave, Boonesboro, MD, Lou Sowers, Westminster, MD and Robin Dull and husband Ike, Westminster, MD; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; grand dog Laddie and her companion cat Henry.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, her son-in-law Davey Sowers who passed away in 2019 and her grand dogs, Fuzz, Sadie and Casey.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 12 noon at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown with Pastor Garry Sheaffer officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
