Michael D. Zittle, 67, of Littlestown, passed away at home on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was the loving husband of Susan E. (Wohkittel) Zittle, Littlestown; together they shared 40 years of marriage.
Born January 31, 1958, in Okinawa, Japan, he was the son of William Robert Zittle, McSherrystown, and the late Kazuko (Tamamura) Zittle.
After graduating from the Police Academy, Michael began his career in 1979 with the Baltimore City Police Department, retiring in 2001 as a Detective. After retiring, he was a Regional Sales Manager with Honeywell. A true family man, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, sons and granddaughter. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, and woodworking in his shop. He loved sports, especially football, and was a fan of the Baltimore Colts.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Matthew Robert Zittle, Lusby, MD, Tyler Paul Zittle (Jenny), Huntingtown, MD and Ryan Michael Zittle, Shippensburg; brother, Kevin Scott Zittle, McSherrystown; granddaughter, Layla Elaine Zittle and granddaughter on the way, Reagan Kazuko Zittle.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 12 Noon at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, PA. The family will receive friends and share memories from 11 AM until the start of the serviceon Sunday at the funeral home.
