Michael G. Sollenberger, 76, of Fairfield, PA, died Monday, March 2, 2026, at York Hospital after a brief illness.
Born June 30, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late David and Ruth (Hokanson) Sollenberger. He was the loving husband of Merril (Evans) Sollenberger of Fairfield.
Michael was a Classics scholar and became Professor Emeritus after teaching at Mt. St. Mary’s University for many years. He was a great friend to many and an avid golfer. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Service for Michael will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Michael’s name to your favorite Veteran organization.
