Obituary: Mildred P. Snyder

Mildred P. Snyder, age 95 of New Oxford, formerly of Biglerville, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Cross Keys Village.

She was born on Friday, November 22, 1929, in Straban Twp. Adams Co., the daughter of the late James E. and Dora M. (Smith) Ford.

Mildred graduated from New Oxford High School in 1947. She was formerly employed by C. H. Musselman in Biglerville. She has also worked for Essex Wire in Gettysburg prior to Musselman’s. She was a member of Trinity Christian Fellowship in Biglerville. She had also been a member of Benders Lutheran Church in Biglerville. She and Fred loved their horses and loved to square dance. She crocheted and knitted blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Fred K. Snyder, passed away in 2014. She is survived by one son, Larry E., and wife Deborah Snyder of Hanover, two grandchildren, Scott and wife Michelle Snyder, and Lance and wife Anna Snyder, six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Breelyn, Evan, Sean, McKenna, and Emri. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Eller and two brothers, J. Clair and Clarence M. Ford.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Trinity Christian Fellowship, 300 E. York St., Biglerville, with Rev. John Weber officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 am until the time of services. Interment will be in Flohr’s Church Cemetery.
