Naida Iwalani Iaea, 70, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 23, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Wahiawa, Hawaii, Naida was the beloved daughter of the late Nathan K. Hale and Jennie M. (Eguchi) Jex. She carried the warmth, strength, and spirit of her island roots throughout her life and shared that love generously with everyone she met.
Naida was the devoted wife of John N. Iaea for 53 years, and a loving mother to the late John “Keone” Iaea, whose memory she carried close to her heart every day, along with her daughter, June Iaea, and son, Joey Iaea (Chika).
She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Justine Iaea, Harmoni Iaea, Liberty Karns (Marc), Landon Iaea, and Jaycee Iaea, as well as a loving great-grandmother to Paisley Iaea, Mylah Iaea, Salem Hall, and Archer Karns. In addition to her mother, Naida is also survived by her siblings Natalie Hale, Nathan Hale, Charles Jex, and Cynthia Jex, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved.
In addition to her father and beloved son, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, three sisters, and one brother.
Known for her selfless nature, caring heart, and tireless work ethic, Naida dedicated her life to taking care of others. Her family always came first, and she gave endlessly of herself to ensure they felt loved, supported, and cared for. Whether she was taking walks, playing card games, or simply gathering with family, she treasured every moment spent with those closest to her.
Naida’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the values she instilled, and the countless memories she created.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love and spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
