Nina Mae Scott, 95 of Gettysburg, PA passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Born in Lebanon, PA on December 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Elmer B. & Lillian M. (Kaplinger) Simpson. Nina was predeceased by her husband, Harry D. Scott, who died in 1986. She and her late husband farmed for many years on their Russell Tavern Road farm. Nina served as a bus driver for over 30 years with the Gettysburg and Upper Adams School Districts, along with working at the former Green Acres Nursing Home in Gettysburg on the nursing staff. Nina was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Littlestown, PA and a founding member of the Gettysburg High School Wrestling Boosters Club. She is survived by her four children, Linda Roberts of Knoxville, TN, Ann Sweitzer of Gettysburg, Donna Scott of Oak Ridge, TN and Harry D. Scott, Jr. (Cindy) of Gettysburg, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Nina was predeceased by her five siblings. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Flohrs Cemetery in McKnightstown, PA with Rev. Andrew Geib, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
