Paul Mark Kendlehart, formerly of Gettysburg, passed away on Sunday, August 11 at his home in Strasburg, PA.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Kendlehart; by his eldest daughter, Allison (Kendlehart) Elias, son-in-law, Evans Elias and their two children Gavin and Harrison of Strasburg, PA; and his youngest daughter, Erin (Kendlehart) Adams, son-in-law Joe Adams and their two children Wells and Eliza of Millersville, MD; by his brothers, Neal Kendlehart of Gettysburg, PA and Philip Kendlehart of Allen, TX.
Born on April 29, 1954 in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late John Bailey Kendlehart and Janet Rebert Kendlehart. Paul was a 1972 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School and a 1974 graduate of Penn State University. For 30+ years he was the co-owner of PT Masonry and spent his life as a contractor building residential and commercial properties in and around Adams County.
Paul met his wife, Robin, in 1980 shortly after she moved to the area as a teacher and for 42 years, they held a deep love and commitment for one another. Some of his greatest joys were raising his daughters, spending time outdoors, whether it be with hunting buddies at Lonesome Pines in Potter County or at the family cabin at Caledonia State Park, supporting his grandchildren, who affectionately refer to him as Pa-Paul, in their various endeavors including marching band, baseball, piano, and swimming.
May Paul forever be remembered for his gentle kindness, twinkling eyes, calm presence, and deep love for his girls, Gettysburg and his country.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Paulâs life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 60 East High St. Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A private interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
