Peggy Y. Wike, 84, of Littlestown, PA, died Sunday evening, November 23, 2025, at the Gardens of Gettysburg.
Born August 7, 1941, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Beulah (Courm) Smith. She was the wife of the late George Wike, Sr., who died April 29, 2008.
Mrs. Wike embraced life with joy and enthusiasm, cherishing every moment. A devoted family member, she was known for her loving nature and her nurturing spirit, having babysat most of her grandchildren. She had a deep love for country music, with a special fondness for Johnny Cash. She found pleasure in the simple joys of life, whether it was spending warm days outdoors, scouring yard sales for treasures, enjoying a meal out, or trying her luck at the casino. Her zest for life and her love for family will be remembered by all who knew her. Peggy’s legacy of joy, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Nancy Kraus and her significant other Edward Sanders, of Orrtanna, PA, Betty Cool and her significant other Robert Monn, of Waynesboro, PA, Wanda Wike, of New Windsor, MD, George Wike, Jr. and his wife Nicole, of Littlestown, PA, Debbie Andrews and her husband David, of Thurmont, MD, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA.
