She was the loving wife of James F. Brooks, Jr.; together they shared 57 years of marriage. She was born in Stephens City, Virginia on January 5, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Parthenia Rodgers. She graduated from high school in Winchester Virginia. Priscilla worked many years in healthcare at The Brethren home and Green Acres Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband, James; four children, Richard Brooks (Tiffany), Paul Brooks (Coleen), James Brooks (Kelly), and Madeline Bullock, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is predeceased by her four siblings.
Priscilla’s passions were knitting and sewing and many will remember her for her dressmaking. She enjoyed singing and worshiping at church. She loved her family and will be remembered for her fun sense of humor. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at The Gardens of Gettysburg for the care and love that they shared with Priscilla.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Apostolic Ministries Church, 955 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA 17331 at 11:00am. A visitation will precede the service at the church beginning at 10am. Interment will take place at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Chambersburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325 at 2:30pm.
