Raymond Robert “Bob” Doxzen, 82, of Gettysburg, PA passed away at home on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Born September 30, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Daniel H. Doxzen, Sr. Charlotte W. (Stiegmann) Doxzen.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Carol Borowski, Deborah Dolan and his brother, Daniel Doxzen, Jr. He is predeceased by his wife, Joan Doxzen, and his daughter, Donna Doxzen.
Bob was an Air Force Veteran, and retired Law Enforcement officer, who also trained worked with K9 dogs. He also loved his cats. Working at the Golden Sands in Ocean City, MD for many years, Bob continued drawing his Mr. Bender Cartoon. He was blessed to enjoy his last years living in an historical building apartment in his beloved Gettysburg. He was a 4th degree Knights of Colombus in Ocean City, MD and at St. Ignatius in Orrtanna, PA. Remembered for his positive cheerfulness, sense of humor, how he helped those in need his amazing devotion to his Special Needs daughter, Bob touched so many lives. Bob was a delight to everyone he met and his family and friends, here far, will miss him dearly.
A Mass will be held at a future date to be announced at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Orrtanna, PA.
