Raymond J. Olszyk, 90, of Gettysburg, PA, died Tuesday morning, September 30, 2025, at his home.
Born September 30, 1935, in Ashley, PA, he was the son of the late George and Charlotte Olszyk.
Mr. Olszyk was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in New Brunswick, NJ, and then enlisted in the United States Air Force, working as a Fuel Specialist in France. He retired from Union Carbide in Bound Brook, NJ, where he worked as a Lab Technician. After retiring from Union Carbide, he worked as a Fuel Specialist at the Mayport Naval Station in Jacksonville FL. just as he did when serving with the Air Force. After his retirement, he was a dedicated caregiver to his special needs son, Raymond, for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Bonneauvill,e PA. Raymond was a talented bowler and enjoyed playing Pinochle and Poker with his brothers.
Raymond is survived by his two children, Kim Olszyk and Raymond Olszyk, and their mother, Vivian Davis, as well as his two grandchildren, Kevin Morris and Erin Dorsey, his great-grandson, Theodore Dorsey, and his five brothers, Theodore, Thomas, George, and Charles. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kevin, and seven siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, with Fr. Benny Jose as Celebrant. Burial, with full military honors being presented by the Adams County Allied Veterans, will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
