Richard Rinehart, 78, of Littlestown, died peacefully at UPMC Hanover Hospital on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, after a brief illness.
He was born in Baltimore, MD, on September 8, 1947, to Howard and Rita (Miller) Rinehart.
Richard was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam from 1969 until 1971. He retired in 2009 from Regional Management Incorporated, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor. Richard enjoyed spending time with his dog “Teddy Bear” at the local park, and he was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Ebberts) Rinehart, Littlestown; sisters, Jean Roberts, Hanover, and Joan Jackson, Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, Steven, Gordon, and Gary Rinehart, all of Baltimore.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
