Obituary: Robert “Bob” Allen Hahn

Robert “Bob” Allen Hahn, 81, of Littlestown, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mary Susan “Sue” (James) Hahn, Littlestown; together they shared 56 years of marriage.

Born February 21, 1944, in Hanover, he was the son of the late C. Paul and Kathryn (Flickinger) Hahn.

Bob graduated from Littlestown High School in 1962; he was an Eagle Scout and later served his country in the Army. He served in Vietnam with the 1st Air Mobile Cavalry from 1965 to 1966 and received a Bronze Star with Valor. Bob was a Banker with Adams County National Bank for 46 years and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Littlestown. Very active in his community, he was a Boy Scout Leader and baseball coach for the Littlestown Pee Wee League.

Bob was a member of the Alpha Fire Co., Littlestown, for 60 years and was a member of the Littlestown School Board, serving 21 years as treasurer. He was a member and past Commander of the Littlestown VFW, a member of the Littlestown American Legion 40-8, and the Littlestown Eagles. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in Nags Head, NC, and spending time with his children and grandchildren, always attending their games; he was an avid athletic supporter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Paul David Hahn (Erin), Daniel Troy Hahn (Heather) and Michael Allen Hahn, all of Littlestown; brother, Charles Hahn (Lucille), Fawn Grove; grandchildren, Taylor Rae Spielman, Logan Allen Lemaire-Hahn, Skylar Mackenzie Hahn, Colby James Hahn, Gabrielle Lily Lemaire-Hahn, Maverick Hahn, Brody Phillip Hahn and Maximus Hahn and great grandchildren, Wyatt, Evelyn, Morgan and Maggie Spielman.

He was preceded in death by his brother James Hahn.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11 AM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, with Rev. Dr. Brad Dayett officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the start of the service, both at the funeral home. Burial with military honors conducted by the Adams County Allied Veterans Honor Guard will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Littlestown. Bob’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
