Robert W. Mitz, 80, of Hanover, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at home. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Ann (Morgret) Mitz, Hanover; together they shared five and a half years of marriage. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Ann (Harner) Mitz, who passed away June 22, 2019.

Born August 11, 1945, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Catherine E. (Harner) Mitz.

Robert was a machinist for 36 years with SKF, Hanover, and was a member of the McSherrystown Home Association. He enjoyed working on cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Brett Mitz and Brian Mitz, both of Hanover; stepdaughters, Sherry Sentz and husband Wayne, Daune Dubs, and Wendy Drummond and husband Mike, all of Hanover; grandchildren, Nathan, Nick, and Tanner Mitz; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who admired and loved him.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

The family will receive friends and share memories on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown.
