Roger E. Rill, Sr., 74 of Littlestown, PA, died Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 13, 1950, in Hartford County, MD, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Bollinger) Rill, Sr.. Raised for 9 years by “Mom” Lynch. He was the loving husband of Roxanne M. (Chaplin) Rill, of Littlestown, to whom he was married for 44 years.

Roger worked in construction his entire life, working for CJ Miller in Maryland, HTI Corp., and Martin’s Construction. Retiring as a foreman at 64. He spent his retirement working on motorcycles and travelling. He was a life member of the Gettysburg FOE #1562 and a member of the God Bless America Color Guard. He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles and classic cars. He was a mechanic of all things. “If you need a rocketship to the moon, talk to Roger; he will build it and get you there”- Dale Doss.
In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his four children, Roger Rill, Jr., of Orrtanna, Kevin Rill and his wife Karen, of Fairfield, Christine Arnett and her husband Shawn, of Littlestown, James Rill and his wife Trish, of Milford, DE, his seven grandchildren, Daniel, Jason, Lydia, Jennifer, Addy, Cerenity, Abel, his five siblings, Charles Rill, Jr., Dorothy Rosenberger, Betty Barber, Arnold Rill, Gloria Hipp, many nieces and nephews, many motorcycle brothers and his dear friend, his boxer, Harley Starr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Eyler.
