
Born March 3, 1940 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gerardine (Carbaugh) Kaehler. She was the loving wife to her husband Robert J. McMaster of Hanover to whom she was married for 64 years.
Rose was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover. She worked as a teacherâs aide for Lincoln Intermediate in Hanover, New Oxford, and Conewago Township for many years. Rose enjoyed playing cards and was in various card clubs, including one group that played together for nearly 50 years. She traveled frequently with her husband and visited 49 different states. Most of all she looked forward to spending time with her family, especially on their Ocean City vacations.
In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by her five children, Jacqueline Neiderer and her husband Kevin, Lori Long and her husband Scott, Susan Kotula, Barbara Smith and her husband Gary, Robert McMaster and his wife Dianne, 12 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nine step-great grandchildren, her sister, Dotty Arigo and her husband Lee, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Timothy Kotula, her brother Joseph Kaehler, and her sister, Mary Theresa Kaehler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA. Burial will be in St. Vincentâs Cemetery, Hanover. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the start of Mass Thursday at the church.
