
She was a member of the Gettysburg High School Class of 1951. She owned and operated Roxeyâs Beauty Shop. She later worked as a seamstress. She also enjoyed oil painting.
Roxey is survived by her three children; Greg (Lynn), Barb (Marty) Miller and Rob (Pat) all of Gettysburg; three grandchildren; Jenny (Lewis) Gaura, Jason (Amanda) Lewis , Todd (Lauren) Lewis; Two step grandsons; Matt (Jess) Miller and Kevin (Tami) Miller; nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, four step great-great grandchildren, sister Delores (Myers) Hartman, brother Robert (Eva) Myers, and sister-in-law, Arlene (Lewis) Shealer also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tammy (Lewis) Gaines; great-granddaughter, Sierra Gaura; and sisters, June (Myers) Billet, and Beverly (Myers) Lowe and sister-in-law, Catherine (Lewis) Gallagher.
Arrangements are being made by Monahan Funeral Home. We would like to thank the entire staff at Transitions Healthcare for the wonderful care and attention they gave Roxey over the last 2 years. We would also like to thank Grane Hospice of Camp Hill for Roxeyâs care.
A memorial service to celebrate Roxeyâs life will be held at Gettysburg United Methodist Church 30 West High Street on April 26, 2024 at 11:00am. Visitation will be at 10:00am. An interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
