haron M. Slaybaugh, 64 of Gettysburg, PA passed away at the York Hospital on Friday, November 10, 2023. Born in Gettysburg on June 13, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. & Rosita M. (Martin) Robinson. Sharon is survived by her husband, Timothy L. Slaybaugh, to whom she was married to for 40 years. She was a 1977 graduate of Gettysburg High School and earned her B.A. Degree in Education from Bloomsburg University in 1981. Sharon was employed for fifteen years at the former Seton Center in Emmitsburg, MD and later served as Director of Adams County Head Start for many years. She enjoyed watching and rooting for the Baltimore Orioles and the Chicago Bears. In addition to her husband Tim, Sharon is survived by two children, Brad Slaybaugh of Arlington, VA and Ashley Slaybaugh (Shaun Dattola) of Philadelphia, PA, a brother Joseph Robinson (Jennifer) of Gettysburg and a sister, Melissa Hemler (Chris) of East Berlin, PA. She was predeceased by a sister, Lynne Robinson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Fr. Stephen Kelley, officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM. Interment will be private. I am so sad to hear of Sharon’s passing. I worked under her supervision with Head Start years back. She was a warm, empathic and wonderful boss. God Bless the family 🙏
