Shirley’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and friends. Her life lives on within her loved ones: son, Scott Harbaugh; grandchildren, Renee Flohr, Eric Flohr, Kasey Menges, Ashley Harbaugh, Mason Harbaugh, and Savannah Harbaugh; and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, George Fox; son, David Flohr; husband, Barry Harbaugh; mother, Jean Fox; great grandchild, Kealey Menges; and brother, Gary Fox.
She found great joy in nature. If you ever showed up at her house, you would most likely find her leaning over the kitchen sink watching the birds out the window, tending to her garden, or bringing the beauty of those things to life through art. She spent her years working at Knouse Foods, Hanover Foods, and Dolly Madison where she met lifelong friends, love, and made memories to last a lifetime. She will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched, which were many.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 11am at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 10am where the family will receive friends and loved ones. Interment will immediately follow the service at Flohrâs Cemetery in McKnightstown.
