Steven D. Rummel, Sr. age 64 of Littlestown, PA died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Born May 24, 1960 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Richard & Joyce (Currens) Rummel. Steve is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Kathleen Harris “Kathy” Rummel.
He was a 1979 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School and following graduation proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Steve was currently employed at Hanover Logistics. He enjoyed his grandchildren, Sunday drives, spending time with his friends, and was an excellent bowler.
In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by two daughters, Ashley Eckenrode (Jason) and Nicole Rummel, four sons, Steven D. Rummel, Jr., Tommie Harris, Joey Harris and Cody Harris, six grandchildren, his sister, Trudie Rummel, and brother-in-law, David Brown.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will follow the services in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. The Adams County Allied Veterans will provide full military honors at the cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
