Sue was born October 27, 1951 in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Shields) Doersom.
She was a 1969 graduate of Gettysburg High School. Early in her life she worked at various gift shops in Gettysburg including one owned by her parents, the Gettysburg Country Store. In addition to driving and transporting special needs children, Sue and her husband enjoyed antiquing and were local antique dealers. Most importantly, her greatest accomplishment was being a most loving homemaker to her family.
In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by two daughters; Jennifer Ingram and partner Jessica Fabian of Shippensburg, PA, and Heather Ingram and husband Brian Alexander of East Berlin, PA, two brothers; Richard Doersom of Fairfield, PA, and Jeffrey Doersom of Red Lion, PA. She is predeceased by brother, Ronald Doersom.
Additionally, Sue will be greatly missed by her beloved best friend of 66 years, Virginia Schriver.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
