Susan Whitaker Moore, 70 passed away on November 7, 2023 at Transitions rehabilitation center following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 19, 1953 in Takoma Park, MD the daughter of John and Catherine Whitaker. She was the loving wife of Christopher Moore.
Early in Sueâs career she was involved with administrative work in the Maryland area. But her real love was as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various hospices in the Gettysburg area. She and her family always enjoyed their time at the beach. She was an avid reader, loved to help anyone in need and cherished spending time with her family and loved ones.
In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by her mother Catherine Whitaker, a son Christopher Matthew Moore, of Gettysburg, PA, three brothers; Jeff Whitaker of Florida, Andy Whitaker of Frederick, MD, Tom Whitaker of Joppa , MD and a sister, Becky DelBazo of Derwood, MD.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
