Suvilla D. Walters, 78, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 20, 1947, in Princeton, WV, the daughter of the late James H. and Mabel Brinkley Ross. She is survived by her husband, James H. Walters, Sr.; a son, James H. Walters, Jr., and his wife, Annie, of Abbottstown, PA; and a grandson, Logan Walters. She was predeceased by a brother, Joe Harold Ross.
Along with her husband, Suvilla owned and operated Quality Grinding and Polishing in Gettysburg—a company involved with metal finishing. Jim and Suvilla enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. In their younger days, they also loved to ride motorcycles.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, 320 West Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60654.
