ammy Lynn Shaffer Knox, 57 of Orrtanna, PA passed away at The Gettysburg Hospital on Monday, June 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 25, 1966 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Marvin & Janet (Black) Shaffer. Tammy served as the office manager for the Fayetteville Fire Co. for many years before her illness. She was a member of St. Paulâs The Pines Lutheran Church in New Oxford, PA, Buchanan Valley Fire Co. and the Fayetteville Fire Co. Tammy loved her grandchildren, going to the beach, cooking, arts & crafts, listening to music, going to comic con conventions, feeding her racoons on the front porch and was a Star Wars memorabilia collector. Tammy leaves behind her companion of 25 years, Richard Walker, II, children, Dustin Green (Lisa) of Gettysburg, Chris Knox (Sherry) of McSherrystown, PA, Jennifer Knox of Orrtanna and Kimberly Lookingbill (Cole) of York, PA, eight grandchildren, Evan Green, Ally & Sadie Knox, Alyssa & Tylor Kimmel, Mikayla Knox, and Kale & Keegan Lookingbill and three siblings, Ted Shaffer and Tonya Shaffer both of Gettysburg and Trena Shaffer of Summerdale, PA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Suzanne Elliott, officiating. Interment will follow in The Pines Cemetery. Viewing hours on Friday, June 7th at the funeral home will be from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 PM.
