Born April 25, 1938 at Crouse’s Junkyard in Adams County he was the son of the late Hobson and Pauline (Worley) Crouse. He was the husband of Virginia (Green) Crouse, of Gettysburg to whom he was married for 66 years.

Mr. Crouse was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserve. He worked for Heiges Masonry. He then went to work for Greenwood Sawmill where he worked as a logger for 60 years. After his retirement he became a manure spreader engineer.

Tim loved to tinker in the garage and use random scraps to build his creations. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and a softball player. Tim has a small farm where he raised chickens, turkeys and goats. Every spring he would plant a large garden with potatoes, red beets, tomatoes and cabbage.

Above all else, Tim was dedicated to his family. He was happiest when the whole family was around. He would have the biggest smile when he would sit the little ones on top of the refrigerator. Tim was a story teller, always enjoyed a good joke and his laugh could be heard from across the room.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his six children, Anita Shull and her husband Dan, of Gettysburg, Brian Crouse, of Gettysburg, Scott “Worm” Crouse and his wife Wendy, of Orrtanna, Shelly Riley and her husband James, of Gettysburg, Quint “Abe” Crouse and his wife Angie, of Gettysburg, Jolene Breighner and her husband Jason, of Fayetteville, 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren, his sister, Rhoda Conover, and his brother, Roger “Larry” Crouse.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Crouse, 6 brothers, 5 sisters.

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Greenmount Fire Hall from 4-7pm. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneral
