
Born December 30, 1943, in Woodbury, New Jersey, Trudy was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Kessler. She was the devoted wife of the late Dr. John William “Doc” Greene, with whom she shared thirty-six years of marriage. Her soulmate preceded her in passing less than two months earlier.
Trudy graduated from Woodbury High School in 1962. She attended radiology school, and became an x-ray technician, before marrying, having her three children, and becoming a dedicated stay-at-home mom.
Trudy was a beautiful dancer, and loved to Jitter Bug. For her upcoming 80th birthday, she had said âAll I want for my birthday is to be with my family, and dance!â
Trudy also loved traveling with âDoc,â especially to their favorite spots in Florida, Vermont, Williamsburg, and the Jersey shore. They also loved watching Pitt Panther Football and the Philadelphia Phillies together.
Trudy is survived by her children, Dr. Robert W. Grover and wife Melissa of Melbourne, FL, Wendy L. Ellsworth and husband Scott of Lehi, UT, Suzanne M. Grover of Gettysburg, PA, stepson John W. âJackâ Greene III and wife Kim of Manchester, PA, brother, Ronald W. Kessler and wife Sharon, of Mickleton, NJ, fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, as well as many other beloved family members.
A combined funeral for Trudy and “Doc” will be held Saturday, January 13 at Davis and Wagner Funeral home, 171 Delaware Street, Woodbury, New Jersey. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, with a service at noon, followed immediately by interment at Woodbury Memorial Park, 879 Kings Highway, West Deptford, NJ.
