
He is survived by his wife Treva McGlaughlin Bowders, daughter Michelle Neese, stepson Eric C. Nagle, Davidsonville, MD., grandchildren, one brother Gregory L. Bowders of Pittsburgh, PA and number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Ann Bowders of Waynesboro, PA, brother-in-law Roy A. McGlaughlin and his wife Connie of Fairfield, sister-in-law Darlene Kauffman of Gardners. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Jeanne B. Compher and a brother Frank W. Bowders III.
Vic spent his life as a automobile mechanic working first at Pryor’s Tire Service and then Swope’s Tire Center. Retiring at the age of 70 from Swope’s.
He raced stock cars at local dirt tracks for many years. He enjoyed going to street rod shows and visiting with John and Sue and the gang at Vintage Specialties, who helped him with working on his 23 T-Bucket.
