Virginia Ellen Morgan, 80, formerly of Gettysburg, PA, died Sunday morning, May 25, 2025, at Genesis-Gettysburg Center.
Born April 28, 1945, in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse T. and Eleanor G. (Plank) Hoffman. She was the wife of the late Gene A. Morgan, who died in June 2011.
Earlier in life, Virginia and Gene had a farm in Beallsville, MD, which both of them worked on. Later, she worked at Wal-Mart in Frederick, MD and Philips Light Company in Gettysburg. She also helped clean houses for Rylan Homes. Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and being outside, notably mowing grass.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Debra Warfield, and her husband Steve, of Beallsville, MD, Cindy Mills and her husband Rusty, of Littlestown, PA, her granddaughter Amanda, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Morgan.
A graveside service will be held at a future time at the Evergreen Cemetery, 799 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, PA. The Monahan Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements, and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
