W. Paul Morrison, 84, of Fairfield, PA, formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born September 8, 1941 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Willard P. and Mary Voldeck Morrison, Sr. Paul is survived by his wife, Susan C. deVeer, a daughter, Annette Frahm and her husband Errin Frahm of Frederick, MD, a son, Brian Smith and his wife Kimberly Smith of Moundsville, WV, four grandchildren: Ashley Frahm, Derek Frahm, Zachary Smith, Kylie Smith and a great granddaughter, Lilly Logsdon.
Paul was a proud Navy veteran, devoted family man, and hardworking craftsman who passed away surrounded by loved ones.
Paul served his country aboard the USS Ranger aircraft carrier. After his service, he pursued a wide range of interests and skills — attending cosmetology school in his younger years and later becoming the owner of a construction company. Paul’s diverse talents and work ethic led him through a well-rounded career in many trades. He eventually retired as the Lead Custodian for the Frederick County Law Enforcement Center, where he was known for his reliability, good humor, and dedication.
Paul truly lived life to its fullest. Hobbies he enjoyed especially were boating, racing, restoring cars, flying remote-control model airplanes, inventing, photography, and collecting recipes for brewing beer and cooking in a smoker. Whether working with his hands, sharing stories, or spending time with his family and friends, he brought warmth and laughter to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of his Life will take place Sunday, December 14, at 2 pm at Frederick Friends Meeting House, 723 N. Market St., Frederick, MD, with potluck refreshments to follow.
