It is time to gather safely at home together around your television or computer to enjoy local holiday traditions that have been moved to a virtual format this year.
The holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” will be streamed on the Gettysburg Community Theatre’s YouTube Channel beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The production has a cast of forty local volunteers, including Nicholas Hughes as Ebeneezer Scrooge, and Gettysburg’s very own “Mr. Majestic”, Jeffrey Gabel, as the always jolly Ghost of Christmas Present.
GCT Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr, directs the virtual production.
The Gettysburg Community Chorus, directed by Bill Serfass, will present A Virtual Concert by Gettysburg Civic Chorus, also beginning Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
The performance includes solos, duets, and full choral pieces accompanied by the choir’s brass quartet.
A preview for the performance is available here.
Both performances will remain available for streaming past their opening dates.
