Bao Li and Qing Bao, two adorable 3-year-old giant pandas, are now on display at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Visitors can now see the playful duo in their new home, just in time for Lunar New Year celebrations.
The pandas arrived from China in October 2024 and spent the last few months settling in. Members of the National Zoo had an exclusive preview earlier this month, but now the pandas are ready to charm the public.

Fans can also catch the pandas’ antics on the newly upgraded panda cam, offering live footage from 40 cameras daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at https://nationalzoo.si.edu/webcams/panda-cam
In celebration of their arrival, the Zoo will host special events, including a Lunar New Year festival. Hotels in Washington, D.C., offer panda-themed packages for visitors, complete with plush pandas and themed drinks.
