For the second time in program history, the Penn State Nittany Lions are heading to the Big Ten Football Championship Game. With an emphatic 44-7 victory over Maryland on Saturday, Penn State capped a stellar 11-1 regular season, finishing 8-1 in conference play. Their berth was sealed thanks to Ohio State’s dramatic loss to Michigan, propelling the Lions into the highly anticipated clash against No. 1 Oregon.
The 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game, slated for December 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, will mark a new era for the conference. For the first time, the championship will feature two top-ranked teams. Penn State, ranked No. 3, will face Oregon in a showdown set to determine the conference champion and likely shape the College Football Playoff.

Head Coach James Franklin praised his team’s resilience: “We’ve worked all season for moments like this. Now it’s about finishing the job.”
